    AutoComplete suggestions.

    Hello,

This is probably more appropriate in Javascript, so please move it, if necessary.

I am looking for an Autocomplete or Autosuggest feature to add to my Google Maps application. What I am hoping to accomplish is to add a textbox that will search (xml or array...some data structure) and once selected there will need to be a GLatLng association to the word in the textbox to open an infowindow. If you are not familar with Google maps api, GLatlng is Latitude and Longitude number stored as a pair.

The server where this will be located does not support PHP, and most of what I have run accross requires php to build some file structure to store the data (xml file).

From my understanding is that the yui autocomplete will store all of this in an array.

But this is where my lack of experience come in, and I am somewhat lost as to the "best" choice. As mentioned before, I am having trouble locating anything that I could use that does not rely on php.

This website contains a 4/5 page tutorial on how to create an autosuggest script in javascript. Might be worth checking that out and editing it to suit your own needs.
