    is there a problem with gif animation and FF

    i am running ff 2.0 and my gifs get sometime stucked(they dont loop anymore), anyone noticed this?

    I don't have such problems but have others. I'm not sure but could be something about cache. Try to keep it empty and see if you have problems again.

    Are they gifs on your website or someone else's website? If its your site you can fix the issue by appending a random variable to the end of the image url.

    yes it's on my site,the problem is that it is a background image assign by css so i dont really see how to append a random var to it.

    You'll need to use a server side language. Do you have php available on your server?

    I'm curios only, could help simetime, , what is the pourpouse of attaching a random variable at the end of a image url? ( force cahching? or what?)

    It forces the browser to reload the image because it appears as a new url/image to the browser. It could also be a problem with your gifs. How did you make them? Did you set them to loop? Got a link to your site?

    i just found the gif on the net, anyway it loops normaly(no need of emptying the cache) on ie and other browsers, i dont have the site online.yep i do have php available.

    thank you but i sort it out, i resaved the gif in some gif program.
