How do you qualify a Web 2.0 website?

How do you qualify a Web 2.0 website? What are musts in Web 2.0? I ask because I want to build something for the community and it should definitely fall into the Web 2.0 categorization. Thanks in advance.

Web 2.0 is all about social interaction.

If you can come up with something unique that hasn't been done to death,
like a blog (WordPress), or some link farm thing. You'll also have to define what
"your community" is. Who is visiting your site is probably the most important thing.

web 2.0 is mainly a buzz word, is a name used by Tim O'Really some time ago and with meaning messed by many people,
In fact is about using new technologies to make the web more usefull. For a better explanation see this

    best regards

Heheh I think shiny buttons with 3d gradients, rounded corners, big fonts, a beta tag stuck next to the logo, lots of ajax....

Kizza: Thats the design bit of it.
Most Web2.0 sites have a beta badge plonked to the logo. It's all the rage.

But, e-commerce plays a big role in Web2.0.
I think it's based on opinion. Of the above factors.

Actually it’s even using rather old techniques but with the development of the respective software (i. e. browsers) that finally can handle it new things can be done with these old techniqes.

But yeah, there are now so many community websites and what not that it’s even becoming boring and is nothing new anymore if you don’t have something really crazy that hasn’t been there before.

Does it look and work like Windows? No? Then its not web 2.0.

    Lol.

My understanding is that its simply providing pretty much what I've stated. Bringing a 'desktop feel' to a web based environment. Someone already mentioned the social networking aspect as well, and another one mentioned the big gel buttons that I like (but can't make 'cause I'm only a lowly developer). Put those all together and you've got Web 2.0! Yay.
Seriously, I don't know what its about. Sounds like a design thing
    PHP Code:
    header('HTTP/1.1 420 Enhance Your Calm');
