Maintain the high search ranking for site B using A's past?

Say I have a site A with a decent search ranking in google and I change the domain name to B. What is the best way to maintain the high search ranking for site B using A's past?

If your site A is still up, then I think putting a proper link specifying the targeted keywords would benefit a lot.
    Code:
    <a href="http://b.com">get B</a>

If A matches B in terms of directory structure 1 to 1, you could try simple redirects.

8 months to respond to a thread? That's impressive.

I think he has been waiting to get a good rank for his website.

Are you sure that redirection wont bring down page ranks? I am looking to increase page rank of http://gamestationco.com using already existing PR4 site's redirection.

A change to inferior content will bring down a site's rank. The site won't remain at PR4 if you change the content, for better or for worse.

Within the past few years, Google has become the far most utilized search engine worldwide. A decisive factor therefore was, besides high performance and ease of use, the superior quality of search results compared to other search engines. This quality of search results is substantially based on PageRank, a sophisticated method to rank web documents.
