Do you think its safe enough to develop your websites for firefox 3 now instead of 2?

I would say it's ok to play about with some code just now.

Remeber FF has only about 16% of the market at the moment, and even when FF3 goes live it will take a little while for even those 16% to upgrade.

Anything specific to FF3 will only work for 16%

However, the more we write for FF3 the more IE users might switch ;-)

Thats all I need because as long as the css is the virtually the same in both versions.

FF3 is much faster and less buggy, faster than safari on windows

There is a lot of new css and js functionality in FF3 that is not available in other browsers yet.

If you are just using the standard css and js then you are not really writing for FF3. Writing for FF2 would be enough for a public site.

FF3 is still in beta remember. If you are writing something specifically for FF3 then fine.
