Anybody there who integated google-apps to their domains registered at Ipowerweb?

    Hi,

I've been trying to integrate google-apps to a domain having DNS records at Ipowerweb, with no luck. Anybody tried this before?

    thanks.

I just went through the horror of Ipowerweb's server changes ...
I still have problems to deal with.

I've never tried any Google Apps, but what specifically are you
trying to make work? I may have some ideas for you.

One main thing you might need to know about Ipowerweb's
recent server change ... they default their PHP to PHP4, not PHP5.

You might need to go into the PHP config file settings and change
the default to PHP5. That alone might fix your problems.

Give more detail about what is happening.

I would be very interested to find out if this works for you at some point. I'm also on ipower, and I'm still trying to figure out where my email is going...

I have thought about looking into it, so I'll check on it sometime soon and see.

Hope you are familiar with google's service of providing email server for publics for their own domain. (http://www.google.com/a/cpanel/domain/new)
    eg: mail.awhengg.org

I'd done this for 5 domains at Ixweb and this takes just less than 10 minutes to setup this. (google gives all instructions customised for major hosts)

Now the problem is there is no match between google's tutorial and Ipower CP elements. For Ipowerweb, google says
To modify your MX records with iPower, you'll need to submit a request to the iPower support team. Follow these steps:

    1. Visit https://secure.ipower.com/cgi-bin/addserv/order.cgi
    2. Click MX Record Additions/Changes.
    3. Fill out the top of the form with your iPower account information.
    4. Under Replace existing MX Record, enter the following:

New MX Hostname or IP: ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    Replace MX which has Priority:
    (a number from 0 to 100) 0

    5. Under Add an MX Record, enter the following:

    MX Hostname or IP: ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
    MX Priority:
    (a number from 0 to 100) 10

    6. Click Submit.

Congratulations! Your request is pending, and you should be able to use email at your domain shortly. Requests for changing/adding MX records with iPower may take two to four business days to complete.
but there is no such options in Ipowerweb CP (new platform)
