    Frames - supportiveness

    roughly what percentage of browsers support frames? also what are these browsers?
    does AOL support frames?

    I think you'd need to go pretty far back in browsers to get to the ones that don't support frames.

    The main reasons nowadays for not using them are search-engine compatibility and user friendliness. Even google state that their spider is not as effective at indexing framed sites and advise people against them. On the user side the main problems are to do with saving pages or adding links to favourites. All code-round-able, just you wonder whether it's worth it when you could spend the time learning other design practices.
