    trouble with fireboard in joomla 1.0.13

    wasn't sure if this should go here or in html/css so bump if need be

    these are the errors I'm getting from the site forum here...

    Warning: main() [function.main]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/interpreter.bbcode.inc.php) is not within the allowed path(s): (/var/www/vhosts/canoes.no-ip.info/httpdocs:/tmp) in /var/www/vhosts/canoes.no-ip.info/httpdocs/components/com_fireboard/sources/interpreter.fireboard.inc.php on line 40

    Warning: main(interpreter.bbcode.inc.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: Operation not permitted in /var/www/vhosts/canoes.no-ip.info/httpdocs/components/com_fireboard/sources/interpreter.fireboard.inc.php on line 40

    Warning: main() [function.include]: Failed opening 'interpreter.bbcode.inc.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:') in /var/www/vhosts/canoes.no-ip.info/httpdocs/components/com_fireboard/sources/interpreter.fireboard.inc.php on line 40

    Fatal error: Class 'BBCodeInterpreter' not found in /var/www/vhosts/canoes.no-ip.info/httpdocs/components/com_fireboard/sources/interpreter.fireboard.inc.php on line 42
    I've uninstalled and reinstalled the fireboard component twice and quite honestly I don't remember if the errors came up without me copying the db back in

    any thoughts would be greatly appreciated

    Your first problem is using Joomla for a CMS.

    (kidding, kidding )

    It looks like most of these problems are path-related; you just need to double-check your config file(s) to make sure everything is set correctly. For example, you might be using absolute paths (/included-file.php) instead of server paths (/var/path/to/httpdocs/included-file.php).

    I had the same problem, harlequin2k5!

    Open up: /components/com_fireboard/sources/interpreter.fireboard.inc.php

    On Line 40, just change the following:

    OLD:
    include_once("interpreter.bbcode.inc.php");

    NEW:
    include_once(JB_ABSSOURCESPATH."interpreter.bbcode.inc.php");

    Save and upload. All errors went away, and forum is now usable.
