    wireless question

I was recently at a panera bread company that offers free wireless internet to their customers. I was curious as to how do they go about allowing people to connect and others not. My current experience at that location was I had to go to their website and agree to their terms and conditions...then it would allow access to other sites.

I would really like to use a feature like this in my home office. What would be the most realistic way of going about doing this. I have seen using a "certificate" from a third party but this seemed expensive.

    thanks
