How To Create a Search Page For a Domain With Traffic?

    Hi Guys,

I'm confused how to do this and i hope i get some good pointers how to set something like this up?

I have a domain with traffic and the domain is parked for now - it would be nice for me to know what exactly my visitors are searching for as most of them immediately bounce back.

They where expecting something otherwise they wouldn't have typed in the domain right?

So this is what i have in mind but i am not sure how to tackle this.

Have a Google like home page with a request to type in what they are looking for.

Something like "Type in the search box what you are looking for so we can provide you with further information"

Then a set of results will be returned and preferably i want to have adsense ads integrated within the results.

Because i don't want all my current revenue to totally drop on me.

Is there a way to set this up but also to log all the searches being done via the search box?

Would this be complicated to set up?
    Your advice is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

You would be better to set up a website, which this is basically what you are describing except the page will look like a parked page. I personally think that people are getting pretty good at detecting parked pages or at least to figure out if the domain is legit. A functional website is really the safest route...

True, but i would first need to have a broad idea what they are expecting in the first place so i can build on that expectation.

This technique have worked for other people as well, whom also had domains like this.
The domains where parked but they didn't get any clicks, then set up a simple page with a search box...simply asking the visitor what they where looking for.

A lot of visitors actually type it in the search box and so you will have a good bearing on expectations.

You can either build a website on those expectations or optimize your keywords accordingly.

At this point i am not even interested in having a solution with Adsense integrated, i just want to know what the visitors are expecting to see.

This situation happens quite often as i have a bunch of good domains that i can not yet develop so therefor i need to have a solution for this, so i can use it whenever the situation occurs.

    Suggestions are very much appreciated!
