Any royalty free photos out there?

If anyone can help I'd appreciate it, looking for nice photo collection without having to pay models royalties per visit, etc. I don't have much cash for it, anyone who knows where free/cheap photos are let me know

I've found a great way to do this is to go stores that carry software and look for photo CD's (WalMart, KMart, Target, Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.). They are relatively cheap in the range of $5-$15 and will usually have thousands of photos in various different categories.

As a graphic & web designer I would suggest you to check Photos.com. They have a great and current collection for an incredible price. Go there and tell me what you think. Paulo

Yep...It just means you've officially bought it and don't have to pay EACH time you use the photo. The k-mart idea sounded the cheapest...but some of those photos...you can see it's just the same people dressing up as clowns, office workers, etc...lame and unreal
Zoobie or not Zoobie...That is the problem.

the kmart type cds are okay, but they rarely have any images that are exactly what I'm looking for. I usually do an image search on either google or altavista and with the use of photoshop create my own image from the raw ones I get from the searches. You cannot just search and use an image that you find, but if you manipulate it/them enough that it can be considered an original piece of art than its okay.

definitely read the fine print to avoid any problems, but you can only be sued if you are asked to remove the image from your site and do not.
