Create a static multilingual site using Apache multiview

    Hi,

I'm creating a Welsh / English website and would like to use Apache multiview (index.html.en, index.html.cy) to store and serve the appropriate content. This works perfectly when the user configures their browser to display content in either Welsh or English. so far.

Now I want to allow users to select which language they want direct users to the correct language thoughout the site. So, when a user clicks on a link to index.html, they're taken to index.html.cy if they select Welsh, or index.html.en if they select English.

I've trawled through the w3c site but can't find any information on how to do this. Is that because it can't be done (multiview can only serve content based on the user's preferences)?

Much obliged for any information on how to do this.
