Smile How can I allow users to upload videos to my website?

I really want to know how to do something like Myspace video upload. How to convert the uploaded movies to Flash? Is there an open source or freeware to do so?

There is open source software you can use only if you own your own server and can install new software to it. Its called ffmpeg. If you don't own your own server then its not cheap. I did find this http://www.sharewareconnection.com/f...-converter.htm
however its for windows servers only.

ffmpeg.org is the freeware solution if you own your own server. Then there is on2.com which I believe can install on any server but its not free. Their site doesn't say how much their licenses are. This is the one you want though if you have to go the paid route: http://on2.com/products/flix/publisher/

Be careful of copyright violations - the large web sites are targets of copyright lawsuits - just food for thought.
