Your opinon on Web Development Certs

    Hi

Im learning web scripting (javascript and soon server side )
and would like to know what you think of any of the internet development certs out there...if they are worth the effort and more than just paper.

please dont even mention any microsoft cert..ive got mcp+internet and mcsd and i aint putting any more money into bills coffers.

ive looked at CIW which looks good..only its hard to find good training where i am ..whereas Ms courses are punted practically on every street corner .

closest ive found is a new horizon training center that overs 2 scripting courses at a good price.Only its like for a week.thats it.5 days 8 hrs a day training.Any one ever got trained at NH? are they any good?

Can you please recommend a decent cert.

    thanks
    buzz

    thats nice

yeah sure...oracle make the best databases...but i cant invest that ammount of money to become an "associate " and then a "professional" through their training and still sit without a job.

and i will sit without a job with some cert and no oracle experience!because right at this moment i have NO oracle experience.after training i will have "training" but still no "expereince."

therefore oracle like Ms is a no no.If I had 5 years experience with either then it would be a different scenario.

    but thanks for your post

It appears that is the case. At any rate, this thread belongs with the original thread Buzz created for this topic so I have merged the threads into one in the interest of consistancy.
