Need some help with converting a idea

Ok i got my mind set on building a website again.
I made a few sites before, but nothing amazing like some of you can.

So this times its time to do something good again.
The site i want to build is mainly for companies.
Companies who want to put adds on my site for people who are looking for work.
So a company is looking for x number of person to work for them.
So it has to keep some sort of database which stores the companies.

Any advice on how to do this.
A forum would be a simple solution, but some people don't want to go through the hassle of learning how to use one.

    Any advice is much appreciated

Um... so were talking something like workopolis.com are we? For that I would suggest having like a cms type thing where the employers can login and add positions and etc. And when they add a new position have them enter tons of info like benefitss, application requirements, pay, etc. And everytime someone submits a new app it is sent to the employers specified email and if the app stays unread for like over 2 weeks then the system automatically sends the employer another reminder or something.

But basically easy and simple to use is what people are looking for. Don't make it complicated. Have like simple categories thing and "Employers Sign Up Here" type thing on the homepage and maybe even most recent openings.

    Hope this helps!

    Job search

You mean something like Monster? That's a crowded pond to be fishing in...

This will be fairly hard to do, hard to do right, and even harder to do better than what's already available; no out-of-the-box solution will do here: this will need to be tailor made, and the only chance you have of succeeding is to aim at a niche market that is not already beaten to death by others.

So, do some sturdy research first into areas that haven't already been covered.
    Regards,
    Ronald.

yes something like workopolis.com or monster.

but i think both only do regular jobs.
for months i have being searching through the web for job sites for homework.
non of the site i found were doing this.
I got some companies who are already interested in advertising on it.
Since they offer homework for people looking to earn some more money.

Ronald maybe you know more since your from the netherlands and i am from belgium.

But so far i have not seen any job sites which offer homework.
its just not covered enough yet from what i can tell.

But so far i have not seen any job sites which offer homework.
Apart from the one billion, eight hundred and eighty million websites that
Google seems to think are doing that?

Okay okay, clearly not all of those are offering jobs, not by a long shot. I had to drop it in though because that's the biggest results set I've ever seen Google return, and it does illustrate that far from being an under-represented niche online it's one of the most crowded markets there is. Needless to say, you better have a damn good idea if you're going to take this on...

all of those sites offer 1 thing.
homework which actually is scamming people to buy ebooks.
its far from a decent job to earn something extra.
i am talking about companies who need people to do extra things for them.
like opening mail, folding and posting letters etc....

Yes, but my point is that regardless of whether you're offering something different, you're still going to be competing with these sites in terms of marketing.
