If I was hacked, who do I contact ?

Last night, my friend phpBB forum was hacked.

As he's so busy, he forgot to upgrade his forum.

The attacker took advantage of the valunerablities of phpBB older version and took control of the admin privilege.

In this case, which authority should he first contact ?

    Thanks.

Probably the web host though you probably won't be able to do much, might have to delete the forum and start over. Web host might be able to tell you who did it but thats about it. Chances of finding the person are slim. In the end your friend had this coming since he didn't keep his forum up to date.

Call the wah-mbulance, start over with more secure code or less-likely hackable content. Change your site to forums on Hulk Hogan, because nobody messes with that guy.
