heads up to Editplus / Ultraedit32 users

I don't personally use Editplus as often anymore, but I know plenty of people who do... so...
If you use Editplus the default settings will save backups as .bak.
Now hopefully you don't upload the .bak files like a guy I know does(sometimes).

    To fix this problem..
Open Editplus, click Tools > Preferences > Files > Uncheck 'Create Backup file when saving'

    Why is this bad?..
could potentially expose database passwords or anything else.

and wouldn't it be horrible to find your .bak files on Google?

also, on an unrelated note, Editplus 2.12 was released a bit ago ..
I'm not sure how long it was at SR-1 but it seemed like a long time.

    And.....
UltraEdit32 does the same with .bak files. However, you can set a default backup directory so the backup files aren't saved in the same directory as the original.

Actually because of this possbility you should block the sending of .BAK files by your web server.
