    USB vs Ethernet

What is the difference in speed when connecting up to the Modem? I have one here on a computer I am using and its DSL is connected through the USB port insetead of using ethernet cable. Is there a serious difference in speed?

No difference since the USB bandwidth easily out does the modem, the difference is that USB uses processor resources and memory bandwidth. On a semi-powerful machine this isn't a problem but on a machine serving a network or something weak, using an ethernet card is better.
