Finally, an agreement between the big players has been reached.

The big three (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft) are teaming up to make it easier for Web developers to make sure that their existing or newly created websites get included in the Web indexes.

The agreement will be based on Google's Sitemaps protocol that allows Web site developers/owners to manually feed their pages to Google and to check whether their sites have been crawled.
