The databases part was the funniest. They didn't have one; nobody there could create a usable one. I did create one, but mostly by bypassing all the normal disk I/O. To be fair, that's what you had to do on an Apple II, also. No normal Apple program (e.g., one written in BASIC, the only real language available for a lonnnngggg time) could read or write Visicalc disks. You'd destroy a Visicalc database if you'd try to write with it from BASIC.
