The impossible was done Adobe created a tool to convert Flash to HTML5. Interesting:
Wow, I'm genuinely impressed.
Also, surprised, you'd think Adobe would want to make sure as many people as possible were using their technology!
Yeap, but the bad news is that, within the last 20 minutes I tried some tests with their tool. The result is always the same: conversion failed with 1 error : Fla Version Not supported
I am using Flash CS 5, and I expected Wallaby to understand CS 5 FLA files. It does not. I tried with CS3. It does not. I am not sure what version of fla should work
Edit: it worked till the end. CS 5 format FLA. It works, but only somehow. I mean: the result HTML5 animation works only on Chrome (and I think in all the webkit based browsers). The CSS used is webkit. Well, let's say it is a start.

OK, as far as I could have analyzed, the technology behind Wallaby works like that:
- images are converted into SVG objects
- the presentation is assured by a generated webkit compliant CSS code
Wow. I was completely oblivious to this. The CCS is obviously webkit.
Aha.. not a big fan of Adobe but looking at that :O I am kinda liking it LOL
I had a quick play with it, didn't convert any of my files. I downloaded a simple 'test' fla file from the internet which was essentially just a simple 2 second animation and it worked though.
Not sure I'd use it any time soon... very messy code.

While I really like the Adobe work referenced by the OP, I've unfortunately had to switch over to Foxit for a PDF reader due to a conflict between Adobe Acrobat reader and the Canon print driver for a networked printer. If I recall correctly, I'm the only one in the building having that problem.
It would be great if Adobe would spread its genius out just a bit and bring the older products up, too!

Very interesting and i think this can help many people to avoid the Flash which is very big disadvantage that search engine can't read them and that's why most of the flash website are difficult to optimize a website for the search engine results.
Now this is genuinely impressive! Way to go adobe!
