I doubt the CPU statistics are right for Chrome. Running two tabs + a web app and adding the usage together, I get over 100k memory, which is where the fox hovers about all the time.
Interesting benchmarks, I'm surprised they didn't also benchmark memory usage.
Because if they benchmarked memory usage the ones they wanted to come out the best wouldn't
It doesn't make any sense to me... why would Microsoft release another horrible update of their terrible browser when there's much more compliant and up-to-date options available? You'd think the common thing to do is to replicate or even improve on what is already available as open source technology... it's times like this I'm glad I don't use Windows.
in the long run. I've used IE8 on Windows 7, it is much better than their old standby, IE6. Competition is good for everyone, Microsoft just became complacent for a long time, it will be interesting to see where they go.
