Silly question for the Host here

I don't visit these forums very often but when I do, I seem to go on and on until I get a reply to my questions that show me some success in whatever I am trying to accomplish at the time.
I have a silly question that I am wondering about and wonder if any of the Hosts here would reply.
I made a booboo of a URL on one of my posts and only noticed it after I tried the link of course. So I went back and tried to edit my post but was prompted that I did not have that privledge.
Is that why my little envelope on the side of my Posting has a large black dot on it?
Maybe I am being too nosey eh?
    Just wondering...

Are you sure you didn't try to edit someone elses post?

    Question

No, not anyone elses' post I'm certain about that and ( I would not do that) I just wanted to edit my own post, I wanted to change to wrong URL I had put in to the right one..
So is that the reason for the black Dot, on the envelope?

    hi

the black dot in the envelope next to the thread just indicates that you have posted in that particular thread.
