    The Sams Clams

Got some pictures from the OSCON, specifically, the authors' dinner Thursday night for Pearson Education:

http://62.116.21.147/im000418.jpg -- Sams Publishing authors and editors.

http://62.116.21.147/im000425.jpg -- my mug shot (complete with new, more attractive glasses).

I would have posted this in Forum Feedback & Announcements, but the Pit isn't there anymore. I felt it would be better to post it here and let George or Jason decide if it belongs in Feedback.

WARNING! These are not small pictures. (We're talking 900KB here, each. I'm asking the gentleman to politely shrink the file sizes.)

    Cool

Regarding the "dirt"... it seems the most conventional way to stand out in a crowd: a hairstyle that's slightly different from the norm.

Besides, I think it makes me a little sexy.

I'm leaning towards keeping your embarassment to a minimum.
j/k - certainly better than that mugshot I keep remembering from a while ago.

Now instead, you look like my math teacher .

Lol..same here. I was also in navy, tho.

I'm pretty certain Alex was having a "conversation" with the girl behind him (she's blushed and has her hand in front of mouth), and then was surprised by a photographer. Thus, the kinky grin..

    Cool

Nothing of the sort. She's a fellow book author, if I recall correctly, who is happily married. I didn't flirt with anyone that night at all.

Navigate to "Work, and click on the photo link. Smaller file.

No cigar or cigarrettes, and she was looking at someone else. She happened to be in the background when the photo was taken.
