When viewing a user profile I’m getting this PHP warning:
Warning: Declaration of vB_ProfileBlock_Blog::block_is_enabled() should be compatible with that of vB_ProfileBlock::block_is_enabled() in ..../includes/class_profileblock_blog.php on line 25

I have to say, despite some of these initial hiccups with the roll-out of the new design, I really do like the forum's new look!

One more suggestion: In the old design, when checking one's private messages, there was a warning indicator at the very top of the page if 90 or more messages were stored in the user's combined mailboxes. That warning indicator still exists in the new design -- BUT it now appears at the very bottom of the interface, mostly hidden from view (unless you bother to scroll down and check).

So I think this warning indicator would serve the user better if it were back near the top of the page. Somewhere where it is clearly visible and easily monitored by the user. As it is right now, I could easily forget that I was nearing 100 PMs in my mailboxes. And when I did hit 100 messages, I suspect that I would not be able receive any "new" private messages? That would be unfortunate if someone needed to send me a message but couldn't because my mailboxes were full?

    Thanks!
    Regards, R.J.

While browsing through the forum, I reached at vBCms Comments. A lot of posts are there under it by masmedia.
When I open any of these, I get a post like
You can view the page at <..some link..>
However, when I click on those links, I get

    vBulletin Message

abduraooft, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?

Wow, how did you even find this page?
It looks like this is a CMS feature of vBulletin that isn’t really activated for the public on this forum (yet?) but somehow, somewhere there seems to be a forgotten link you’ve just found. All these posts there are just sample posts linking to articles with dummy text (“Lorem ipsum”), and three articles are explaining how the CMS functionality is working, how to create articles, and how to promote articles from the forum. That’s most likely all default content that comes with the installation, hence, the author being masmedia.

    And I get the same!

All the code given in this post has been tested and is intended to address the question asked.
Unless stated otherwise it is not just a demonstration.

It's been three month and the tool bar for QUICK REPLY still does not have the icons for html or php. we still have to enter the sq bracketCODEsq bracket, the code then, sq bracket/CODEsq bracket. The same for php. WHY?

Because the company that bought this site has abandoned it.

I have an issue to report (don't know if it's already been reported):

In Google Chrome, using the full WYSIWYG editor, I haven't been able to use any of the editor buttons. I.e., I can't insert links using the link button. I seem to remember some (if not all) of the other buttons not working in Chrome as well. So, I've switched to Firefox for now when I want to make new posts to the forum. A terrible compromise, in my opinion. This issue should really be addressed by the owners.

That said, how about the owners delegate some of this responsibility to the moderators and/or admins that have been here for years? We don't need to be on the payroll (at least, I don't). We just want a forum that works, and most of us are seasoned programmers. So who better than us to handle the job? Am I being terribly naive, or is this at all practical?
