    Marking Threads Read Automatically

I really really really really really really really really really really really really do not like having threads marked as read automatically after I have been here a certain time span. If I choose to use the search and I am here I can completely miss responses to threads and not be able to read new threads that I have not read yet.

Is there ANY chance of me be given more control of my viewing and marking of threads as read?

    I hope so.

Thanks. I would really appreciate it!

also, isn't there a way to have the new thread images updated every time you visit instead of every session (i think)?

Unless you hit "all forums read" button, and don't view all new threads/posts it doesn't change until your session expires aka you go idle for 15-20 minutes.

Is there ANY chance of me be given more control of my viewing and marking of threads as read?
Prolly not cuz it would require significant changes to the source code of the forum. And the more code you change, the harder it is to upgrade to vb3.

Unfortunately it seems to mark all forums read even if I am not "idle" for 15 or 20 minutes but if I am here for that length of time whether idle or not.

In the "upgrade" can it be easily changed?

    Thanks!

I think it is something that could be suggested to vB.
