Members' ability to edit/ delete a post

There is some confusion as to the current settings as far as a member's ability to edit or delete a thread. Just to clarify, the current set up is:

    1) Edit a post- A member has 2 days from which the post was initially made to edit it, including emptying it out (highly discouraged in all but the most extreme circumstances).

    2) Delete a post/ thread- A member currently does NOT have the ability to completely delete a post or a thread he/she started.

With regards to 2), what are your thoughts on enabling this within a certain time limit?

I think 2) is possible as long as nobody has replied. And if not then I think this should be the option.

I can confirm this. There have been times where I have added a post after someone else posted before me which was redundant so I deleted my post. It isn't possible after someone replies though. Same goes for thread starting.
