    Future of programming forum?

Is there currently a forum to discuss the future of programming? I'm a systems analyst and my favorite part of the job is building apps. I'd like to discuss the impact of new technology on the programming/developer market and the negative and positive impacts new technology has on the developer or programmer out there. Basically, should I expect to be able to make a living off of this for years to come?

    Thanks, Ed

Well... you should have seen it. Its right above this one in the list. The tecnology and science discussion forum is where you'd probably want to talk about it.

Thanks - I didn't want to barge into the wrong forum, so I thought I'd ask first.

    Thanks again,

    a good question ;)

probably because these are coding forums, so i guess your post count would only go up in the coding related ones... i mean, anyone could post 50 times in here without any knowledge of any language... i mean, herm... does that make sense? it's like... your posts only go up if you're helping ( || asking) with coding methinks...

this is all offtopic now... sorry!

It is like having a lounge, where everyone will go. Once the place gets put up, you'll start seeing people ignoring the other threads, contantly posting to get their post count up as high as possible.
