    Post Requirement for job offers

I think there should be a post requirement on who can enter the Web Projects forum. I'm thinking that a lot of people come here just to get paid for helping people, not just doing it to be a good person. I think you should have to earn the right to get paid for what you do. What do you think?

I've been wondering about ways to improve the Web Projects. Some people do come here mostly to get projects, but I don't see them lasting here more than a week or two. They post a few times and I guess don't get much of a response.

However some people legitimately come for the first time to post a project. I can't speak to every post, because often they deal with their business via PM, but many of the projects come from people who are relatively new.

My other thought was to prune any thread that the OP doesn't update within a week. That could help alleviate a lot of 'is this offer still there' syndrome, and force some more interactivity for users who just post once and leave.

i'd settle for 1 for every thank you i have at least i could go get some beer

apart from that perhaps limit the projects forums so you can only apply if you have recieved say 25 thanks or more so your a valid contributing member of the forums first. also make it so you can't send pm's until after that limit either

or even better just have those forum sections hidden until you have your 25 thanks

Bit hard for someone who's wanting work done and has no idea whatsover about the web, to get 25+ thanks, so they can see a forum for them to post their requirements in. They'd just go elsewhere.

My suggestion is to only let the OP post in the threads and must have a time set for the ad to appear for by the OP; ie a week, few days, etc. After that time it gets wiped off or locked
