create a history page of codingforums.com

hi, you should create a history/introduction/about page on codingforums.com, talking about how this place started, and other important events in the history of the website.
posibly giving us more of a clue on where this site came from. (besides some guy named "George")

unless i am just blind, and I did not notice something like this already.. so if there already is something like this, just pm the embarasing info, and deleate my post.

Hmmm...I think this is the first time it's been suggested. Most people I gather don't really care about how a site originated, which suits me fine considering my private nature

The regulars of the old WA Forum should be able to tell you a lot about the origin of CF (from the old WA Forum, which served Wsabstract.com, formerly abstract.simplenet.com).

I would enjoy seeing a history of how this site and javascriptkit got started. I don't know if many people would, but it might be instructive for those wishing to start their own site. You could include info on what worked and what did not work.

References to WA and "George" might be odd to newcomers, tbh I always got confused at references to wombats back at WA.

    i think it stood for:
    Website Abstraction

if you go to javascriptkit.com you will see under the header
"formerly website abstraction" or something along those lines, i think the name stemmed from an earlier venture

    How CodingForums started (in brief):

At first there was a small point of energy that was infinitely hot. Due to the expansion, the temperature gradually decreased. One second after the "Big Bang" the temperature dropped to only 10 billion degrees C. The universe was still to hot at this point for atoms to exist. After a million years or so, the expansion of the universe caused the temperature to drop to 3,000 K. This enabled protons and neutrons to form the first hydrogen atoms. One or two billion years later the clouds of hydrogen and helium came together to form the first galaxies.
Some time after, a meteor extinguished dinosaurs and then an ape had the idea to create Website Abstraction forum.

    A long time ago...
In a galaxy far far away...
    WebsiteAbstraction was born...
Bringing forth a period of unrest for the evil DevShedians...
A great battle was fought, led by the Moderator knights...
Amidst the rubble and ashes, it is clear that WA has fallen...
Alas a dark day has fallen upon the forces of good...
But not all the Moderator knights are gone, merely hidden...
Some like the great Obi Wan Feydobi, or JKD3P0, and of course...
    Spook Skywalker...
Years later in a sequel these brave Moderators with their Moderator knight master Georgeoda rise up to defeat the evil empire and begin the creation of a glorius new world called CodingForums...
