    Donating Codingforums?

Before I started posting to this forum, I had very limited knowledge about PHP and MySQL. Although I am still very far to the end of the road (if there is ever an end), I owe this forum and it's helpful regulars a lot. I wanted to say a big big thank you to all of you guys, I don't know your faces, your age, your locations but to me, you are the gurus.

During the years I made small freelance jobs and earned little money to help me pay for my rent, my bills etc. I am not much into big jobs (yet) but all the things I've learned from this forum helped me to develop my own web projects and although they are not finished yet, they are the things that make me hold on to life and make me be proud of something. I've been spending sleepless days and nights waiting for an answer to come to my questions (even the most stupid one) and that answer always came and enlightened me.

This is a hard life, being a programmer has a high cost. It costs you health and a rather asocial life. You can't tell your family, your friends what the heck you are doing.

The knowledge that is being shared on this forum is priceless. We all should know this treasure's worth.

Once I get my next freelance job, I want to make a small donation to help the people who are maintaining this forum. But I couldn't see a donation option. Is this a forum policy, or did I miss it?

Thanks for the offer, but right now, I'm not accepting donations. I think moving forward, it's only likely I'll do so when I feel it's essential in keeping the site running.

I believe you're right. If I recall correctly, minimum is $1 million in increments if $500,000 thereafter, right? I can't recall right now

Seriously though. That's great to hear that you love the site and want to make a donation. Maybe you could make a donation to a charity of your choice on behalf of coding forums?

    Just a thought.
