    login link/login box

    if you visit the forums home when not logged in you get a big message at the top basically saying login or register.
    when you click the login button it alerts scroll down to the bottom of the page to login.
    would it not be an improvement that when you click the link it takes you to the login in box at the bottom of the screen via a bookmark you know like #login

    I had that same idea a while ago when I was on another computer. I wasn't even expecting a popup box.

    Also on this subject possibly some people may be a little confused by the labeling of the form fields, personally it doesn't confuse me but maybe for some people it may be good to have the value user name in the user name field.

    joh6nn has the best idea it should say instead of please login or register it should say please register login with the login box next to it.

    why just not give it focus when the user clicks ok, like
    alert("scroll to see login");
    document.formanme.loginname.focus()
    ??

    The current set up was created basically out of laziness on my part, plus the fact that a member shouldn't be logging in and out all the time anyway. It's usually a one time thing.

    I haven't logged to any of the forums I visit since I registered to them, unless I got a newer version of a browser, which is next to never.

    I got Opera 7 when it came out, or just a week or so after... I haven't logged again in since that day.
