    Unhappy Making an SWF NON-Clickable

    Hi Guys,

    I've done a search and could only find answers to making an SWF clickable, not the exact opposite which I desperately need help with (making an SWF file non-clickable). Here is the code I'm using:

    Code:
    <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="img/intranet_banner.swf" width="820" height="240" wmode="opaque"></object>
    I've tried making wmode="transparent", and wrapping a blank div around the object like so:

    Code:
    <div class="cover"><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="img/intranet_banner.swf" width="820" height="240" wmode="opaque"></object></div>
    Whenever I upload the file, if I mouseover and click the SWF file I get dumped at the root directory's homepage. Even if I wrap the code in a <a href=""> it will ignore that link and go to the root directory file.

    If it matters, the page is a *.php file.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hm, I have no experience with SWF in that regard but it works with SVG objects, so I assume the same should work with SWF: Try setting the CSS property pointer-events: none; on the object. That should make it unclickable.

    I'm having sort of a similar issue, but opposite... The scroll shown in this is only supposed to open and close when you click open/close, but it's autoplaying endlessely.

    Example: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...withscroll.swf

    Here's the action script I'm using. Please advise.

    stop();
    /*This button opens the scroll*/
    open_btn.onRelease = function(){

    gotoAndPlay(1);
    }
    /*This button closes the scroll*/
    close_btn.onRelease = function(){

    gotoAndPlay(91);
    }
