I've finished up a site as a favor for a church and although they were happy enough with it to want me to go ahead and launch it, I'm still unhappy with something that is happening on the first page. I finally got this page to look the same with IE9 and all the other browsers I tested. I thought all was roses, but here's the glitch: the movie ends with "Enter" and was intended to be a hyperlink to the home page. However, I discovered that when it is placed behind an image that has a higher z-index, and wmode is opaque, this kills the hyperlink capabilities. To get around this, I made the image on top (a picture frame) the hyperlink. It works okay, and even gives the impression that you're really clicking on the movie, but I notice that (for me, anyway) when you click it to go to the home page, it sort of "dances". The flash behind the top image tries to come to the front for a flicker or two, just enough to make it look bad. I also notice that even though, at first blush, the flash is behind the top image, as it should be, if you let it set there for a moment, maybe while looking at another tab and return, the flash has moved to the top. If you refresh the page, it settles back behind the frame. Is it doing this for any of you and, if so, is there something in the coding that might remedy this?
