Flash movie doesn't want to play...

Ok, this is the first sort of anything flash I have created in like 4 years. I am making a banner and I have started to add in the motion tweens to fade the text in.

However, I also have some action script that displays the date and time, and I think that is what's stoping the movie from playing because it is only on 2 frames. I attached a screenshot - I thought if I just added a keyframe at the end of the timeline on the actionscript layer it would be fine. But what happens is when I play the movie the motion tween does not take place but the time function still runs.

    Thanks for any help.

Would probably help if you attached the fla file or even a screenshot which doesn't appear to be loading.

Sure - check the link for the FLA. What I don't understand is that the tween shows up when I manualy move the time line forward but not when testing the movie - I am sure it's something stupid.... but my guess is it has something to do with the actionscript layer.

I've realized it's not the actionscript at all - it must be how I am trying to fade the text.

The steps I take to do so are:

    1) Create the text and convert to symbol
    2) Drop down and change alpha for frame one to 0%
    3) Insert Keyframe about 30 frames down and set it's alpha to 100%
    4) Insert Motion Tween

When I do this, all that shows is the text in it's 100% state. What am I missing?

What I think is that it is because of the repeat code for the time that isn't letting the whole movie play. Is there a way to have an animation that runs one time, as well as a repeating function (in this case for a clock) both in the same FLA or does it have to be in 2 seperate files?

I saw you got your flash to work. What did you do to make it work?

I was trying to do everything in the same clip - because I had actionscript in the main clip that wasn't working, because it was set to loop for the time. So I ended up putting each layer in it's own movie clip and got it to work...
