Question transparent background in flash movies

    Hi

I have this animated text in flash, and the thing is that I use it on top of a .png image that expands underneath of it (with the same bg color), and I just noticed that the color of this background image slightly changes when I see it at Firefox than when I see it a IE...which makes that the background color that I use on my flash text looks weird on IE, since this color remains the same. (only the color of my .png image gets a little bit darker than at Firefox

So, does anyone knows how to make a transparent background at flash file so that this doesn't happend anymore...I use Flash MX proffesional BTW (in case that helps you to help me easier)

Or even better, if you know a way to make my images color look the same on every browser (I havent even noticed this before), maybe is the way I save my png images or should I use another format?

If you use one of the 216 "web-safe" colours. they should look the samer in every browser (in theory) See this for more information on the colours.

    Woohoo! My 100th post !

When you publish out of flash, there is a setting for 'transparent windowless' or 'opaque windowless' you may use -- as long as you didn't set a color to your movie background, that will work. Doing this requires you export at flash 6 player or better.

You will notice this setting in the HTML option for publication, not the flash tab.

thanks, I quite didn't get that "transparent windowless" thing, but I will check it out, and I'll let you know if it worked or not how I want it.

    see ya

btw: its not a "web-safe" colour.
