load flash animation on 'down' state rather than rollover

I've seen it before, and I can't remember, but I need the animation to play fully when a button is hit on the down state -- I've got the animation loaded into that state just fine, so building is not an issue... I know I can do it on the 'over' state easy since the animation will play as long as I have the mouse rolled over it... but it needs to play on the down state. Now, I'd have it click and animate a new movie, but the button IS the movie... we're making a bobble head I'll show when it's done!

Ah, I'm just trying to get an animation to go on the 'down' state.

What I mean is, everything will animate fine on the down state, but only for the length you hold down the mouse button to activate the down state, if you release, it will stop animating right away. I want the down state animation to last 5 seconds.

I'm having a very dumb day today
Ok, it's been 6 months since I even opened Flash, but how about putting a little AS on the down state that just tells a movie clip to play?
I believe the play() function is what you're after.
That suggestion seemed so obvious that I didn't want to say it first time round

I take no responsibility for the above nonsense.

I've scrapped it -- but the answer to that is that if you have the play button on the down state it'll effect the button look:

It was just a joke thing for my girlfriends brother, but we went with something else -- the head should bobble on the down state, not on the rollover state is what I'm after. If the play is added to the downstate, then I have to play that movieclip on top of the button, essentially showing the head.
