how to upload a swf on my webpage with skin controls

Hello all. I would like to embed a swf file into my web page and have a skin with the play button, etc.

I have created a swf from an fla file. I added a skin.

I have the swf and fla files in the same folder. Using Windows Explorer, I can locate and click on the swf file and it plays and I do see the controls (play, etc).

My problem is that I embed the swf into my webpage using Dreamweaver, and then I upload the FLA file to the server, it will play when I go to the webpage, but I see no controls.

I don't understand why, but think it has to do with my having to create a flv file. I'm not sure how to do this, but I do have Adobe CS3. Could someone please help me? Thank you in advance, Buffmin

I'm having this exact same problem in Dreamweaver 5.5 with an flv file. I am going to trouble shoot it some more and I will let you know if/when I find something.

Ok I seem to have gotten it to work merely by uploading it to my own server (instead of trying to access it through a server at work. I'm thinking that I have no idea why this worked on one computer and not the other.

Anyway, dreamweaver uploaded a scripts file to my website with a .swf and a .js in it, then the .swf for the skin, something called flvplayer_progressive.swf and then the .flv movie itself.

I didn't do any of those- I just went to Insert>Media>FLV and it did these things for me automatically.
