    Shortening code. Containers? Inheritance?

    Hi,

I have been working on this game for a while, a Flash version of Kuru Kuru Kururin, a puzzle game for Gameboy Advance.

I have essentially got the game to the point where I could get the game working, but if I continue to code as I am, my code will be ridiculously long.

Could anyone take a look at my project and offer any suggestions on how I can shorten my code? Would a container work? I don't understand them too well. Feel free to alter the files if you want.

Anyway, I have uploaded my project to mediafire so you can take a look. I have only added obstacles for collision detection on the first few walls of the maze, after that, I realised that I am going to have to take a different approach - but the game is close enough to completion for you to get an idea of what I want the game to involve.

I have managed to get the container, which I have called moveableThings to display it's children on the stage, but am now struggling to get my chopper's movement with key presses to work, even though it was working earlier.

Could anyone please take a look? I'm assuming the problem is simply that I have mistyped something, such as writing "stage" instead of "moveableThings" somewhere, or vice versa.

    Help much appreciated.
