    dynamic movieclip linkage

Is it possible to set the linkage property dynamically using as2?

I have too many movieclips in my fla to manually link them to actionscript individually. Usually this is done by right clicking the movieclip in the library and selecting "linkage"

    How to automate it?

gani, I've said this before, I don't think there is a way. The point of the library is to handle it manually, and no feature in Flash does this (maybe some extension I'm unaware of, but REALLY doubt it).

actually, maybe I can teach you something jeremy.............. for a change

I just discovered that Flash cs4 has the option to set linkage to all library items in one operation
You just need to select all items and right click and the linkage option is there. The images will have their respective names as the linkage....

3 cheers for the people at Adobe

Well hooray! Google didn't have anything I could find, and I don't know if thats a pre/CS4 feature or not, but thanks for the tip!
