    Purchased Flash Website Template

Hello I need some help I purchased a flash website template. I edited the whole thing but there are two "read more" buttons on different pages that display the same info and I would like for them to display different information. When you click on them a window pops up on that same page. How can I point it to a different window in flash cs3. I am pretty new at flash so take it easy on me.

Don't worry, Flash is not always obvious and things don't always seem to work the way you think. This is especially true when you are working with files that were created by someone else.

Its very likely that they are the same button, but two instances of it. This means that there is a master copy of this item in the library, but you can make unlimited copies of it (called instances) and when you edit one you edit them all, because you are actually editing the master copy. So you will have to create a copy in the library (right click on the button there) and then drag an instance of it from the library to one of the pages.

If you have the authority to edit that page then you can delete one of that pages.

tip1: find the script to the buttons and read what they do. thats the thing u should always do first

if both buttons have the same instance name, and the script points to that name, change one of the buttons instance names, copy/paste the script for both buttons, so theres two identical scripts and edit one of them to run when clicking the newly button name

    btnNameOnBothButtons.onPress...bla

    to

    btnOne.onPress..bla
    btnTwo.onPress..bla

    hope that helps
