    Interacting flashes

    OK! I am back again!

So I have been trying to figure out a way to get two flash programs to communicate with each other. So, for example if I create a swf file and open it up in a browser, I want it to communicate with another swf in another browser (another window - same machine). Can anyone please give me an example?

    Thanks

You will need to utilize something like Javascript, but what you are describing is pretty tricky and has a lot of potential security issues. I'm not even completely sure Javascript can talk between windows, unless the windows were generated by Javascript.

You would need to store whatever information you want transmitted in a database or text file and have the other flash file constantly check to see if there is new data or not.
