    avoiding swf shrinkage

    Hello,

    how can I keep my embedded swf file from shrinking when the browser window is scaled down?

    I set the height in the following code but it doesnt keep the swf from shrinking when the browser size is reduced.

    Code:
    <object id="Pictures" width="100%" height="90">
    <param name="movie" value="ImageStrip.swf">
    <embed src="ImageStrip.swf" width="100%" height="90">
    </embed>
    </object>

    You shouldn't mix a percentage and a pixel value like that. Some browsers can't handle that and its just a possible disaster. You have to decide to use either a size based on the width or height. Right now the browser is sticking to the percentages I'm guessing.

    Also, you should embed your flash video properly instead of using the <embed>. Read this thread for more information.

    Well generally I would say use the Static method, but if you are trying to avoid the 'Click to Activate This Plugin' annoyance, the dynamic method gets around that but I believe invalidates the code.

    Here is a great article about more detailed things. http://www.alistapart.com/articles/flashembedcagematch/
