Is it possible to apply a crop to a flash video (with screens)

I have a flash video playing in swf video player. The video player is rounded at the edges with transparent background. I want to enclose the flash video within the swf, but it narrowly edges out at the rounded edges.

Is there a way to crop the flash videos enclosed within with a rounded edge. Please note that I have a background picture on the website due to which I cannot put a layer on top with a simple color to cover the video playing in that portion.

Is black the background color of the actual movie? If so you can try using the parameter wmode and setting it to transparent in your html.

I am using the transparent windowless export setting and I don't have any background color. That is the reason I am facing this problem, otherwise I can overlap a similar colored layer to cover the edge. So basically I need to make the edge of the video transparent or somehow crop it with rounded edges.

You could apply a mask over that movieclip in the FLA? http://www.kirupa.com/developer/acti...able_masks.htm This describes the basic process, which you would need to adapt.
