    Action script MVC framework

    Hey there

    Straight to the point then.

I have recently been asked to help out with a flash site so knowing a little about flash i said yeah sure. But when i came across the site its all code eek

Something which im pretty much useless at as it takes me an age to try and figure anything out.

Well i figured a few of the issues i was having out but i need to add onto this code and strip bits away. I've been told that it runs on an MVC framework which i have never come across before.

I was wondering whether someone could help me do what i need to do

any help will be greatly appreciated

    Thanks

    Hi,

There should be different classes for your application if it runs on an mvc framework. There would be model class, view class and controller classes.
The class file have a .as extension.
The code would be found there to edit.

I think you are not familiar with OOP so tell me what the problem is and Ill do my best for you.

    Regards

    MVC framework issues

    Hey

Thanks for getting back to this thread i was starting to loose hope.

Ok here is the link to the website: http://www.greekarchipelago.com/

This is completely generated by several action scripts and php.

The issue that i have is with the extra submenu that i have added. Once i click inside one of the sub menus and then try searching through another submenu it doesnt allow you it seems to freeze, you have to select another main menu and then search you can search through another submenu.

Also i wanted to get the news section setup so that you would have sub headings, where they already are, but when you select one of these headings the main story loads into where the photos are instead of having a photo their.

Also i was trying to tweek the menu buttons so that they could instead of calling to the php they could link to another place on the site. I know the actioncsript code for linking but didn't know how to embed it into the existing code.

Thanks again for looking into helping me out

    yes i saw it..

Could you send me the fla as well as any class files(.as files) there are.

If the links are generated from an xml file I would need the xml too.

Ill look into it. Its weekend anyway.
