Sliding objects (How to make them invisible)

    Hi,

I've successfully created my first sliding object (a <table>). It moves from the left of the page to finish up in a large table cell in the middle of the page.

The sliding effect is down to a T but now I need to finish it by making it look as if it comes out from underneath the right hand edge of the table cell instead of just from the right of the page and going over the top of everything on it's way. How can I acheive this?

http://81.108.149.7/webs/personal/?loc=resume# (click on the little man icon) - not tested in NS/Moz yet and I'm pretty sure it'll be a mess til I make the coding cross browser but i'll do that later. It's theory behind my question I need to know.

    Thanks in advance :-)

Chcnged z-index to -1 which makes it go under all th images etc but it still goes over the top of blank space between images etc in it's way to it's detination. I'm starting to think I should be clipping it them reducing the clip size and moving it left each time to get the effect I need. Is there a standard procedure for the kind of effect I'm looking for? Is clipping and moving a strange method to use?

Hmm... this is what I've done.... it's less code, more efficient and probably standard procedure.

Put the position:relative (inside the table cell). Set float:right and width:0px and overflow:hidden

Then all I needed to do was change the function to move the div so that it expands it instead it looks as if it appears from the edge of the cell :-)

Still though please, if I can do this a better way using a more standrd procedure let me know
