    Question jscript for outlook 2003 not working for outlook 2010

    this snippet opens a session of outlook 2003 on the workstation, identifies current user, gets access to public mail folders, and is part of a complex web app that creates a new public mail folder on the exchange 2003 server. now using outlook 2010 and different code is needed to access public folders (still using exchange server 2003).

    try {
    try {
    var outlook_object = new ActiveXObject("Outlook.Application");
    }
    catch(e_object) {
    throw { number:e_object.number, description:"Cannot create public folder. Unable to access Outlook. Verify the application is installed." };
    };
    var namespace_object = outlook_object.getNamespace("MAPI");
    namespace_object.logon("",
    "",
    false,
    false);
    var root_object = namespace_object.folders("Public Folders").folders("All Public Folders"); // olPublicFoldersAllPublicFolders = 18
    try {
    var prjFldr_object = root_object.folders("projects");

    Why not read the answers at the same place you copied the question from????

    Scripts for creating public folders in Outlook/Exchange 2003 no longer work for Outlook 2010

    Tried there but no one actually could answer the question. I assume you cannot answer it either.

    What if the code were modified to open outlook 2003 on a spare server/workstation? ....a generic user account could be used to create public folders... outlook 2010 would no longer be a factor. I'm just asking...if I knew anything at all about coding, I wouldn't be here.
