Hi All,

I am new to javascript and wanted to write an accesible pop up window code using Javascript in ColdFusion.

I have a parent page and the papent page have a pop up. The pop up box consists of Labels about the userName, Password, PhoneNumber and some image to be displayed to user and also need to validate the fields with the maximum length and the text type say --- only charecters.....

I need to create a pop up page with these information to prompt user and store those label field values so that I can access those values in the parent page.

I researched it and found out that I can use window.open(); I wrote a code but I am kind of confused of how to store the field values and access in parent page. See the code below I know it is quite wrong but I tried to do.

If this aproch is wrong .. please sugest me with the approch to code this issue. Thanks in advance.... Keya..

function checking(field1,field2)
{
var display = window.open ('','name','height=400,width= 500');
display.document.write ('<html><head><title>Bank Information</title>');
display.document.write('</head><body>');
display.document.write('<form name="check_form"><table width="500"><tr><td><span>First Name</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>');
display.document.write('<td><input type="text" name = "first_name" value="" required = "yes" message="Please enter the First Name"><td></tr>');
display.document.write('<tr><td><span>Last Name</span>&nbsp;&nbsp;</td>');
display.document.write('<td><input type="text" name = "Last_Name" value="" required = "yes" message="Please enter the Last Name"></td></tr></table>');
display.document.write('<p id = "image_check"><img id=”logo” src=”C:\Users\priya23suri24\Desktop\check_sample” alt=”Corp Logo”></p>');
<!--- display.document.write('<p><a href="javascript:self.close()"> Submit</a> the checking.</p>'); --->
display.document.write('<table><tr><td><input type="button" name="lbl_names" value="Submit"></td></tr></table>);
display.document.write('</form></body></html>');
display.document.wrte('window.opener.document.check_form.first_name.value = field1');
display.document.close();
}

Hope to get response soon.. Thanks again....
