What's the best solution for selling/distributing software on a website?

I just had some software developed and I want to sell in on my website, so I am wondering what is the best existing solution (ie. script, software, etc) to manage the selling and delivery process? Ideally, I am looking for a PHP script that handles multiple forms of payments (credit cards, paypal, & checks), instantly delivers the software and reg. key, handles customers using a mySQL DB. So basically a complete payment, delivery, and customer management script. Also I'd rather it not be a 3rd party hosted solution such as regnow, or the others.

Is there any existing solution with those features, that is designed specifically for digital products such as software?

Also for those of you who sell software on a website, what payment/delivery solution do you use?

    Appreciate it,
    Tom

Do you have your own merchant account? Do you have secure servers that your merchant services providor has verified as safe? Are you really prepared for the expense and hassle of verifying credit card transactions yourself?

Use a hosted solution for the payment processing.

Yes I have a merchant account, yes I have a secure server with a Thawte cert., there is no manual verifying as it's done automatically. The cost is less than any hosted solution. In fact I do over 30,000 credit card transactions a year, however I am just getting into digital products, which is the reason for my post...

    Any suggestions?
