I am a newbie who has been out of the workforce raising a large family & now I want to figure out what to do now that I've grown up.
Ages ago I was a programming major (PL1 - Ha!) who wound up with a finance degree.
I have a window of time to take courses and embark on gainful employment.
I have talked myself out of programming often - because of stories I've been told of the all consuming nature of it (consuming all your time - always on your mind...etc)
But my problem is.... for some reason I think I just might enjoy it.
Question.... Are you all pleased with your path? And is it possible to work in this area while still fulfilling the role of spouse/parent?
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
